Can Someone Build me a Corsair Gaming Computer?
Hi, I'm interested in buying a New Gaming Computer. I'm loving the Corsair Band. I'm only wanting to spend under $2000.00 USD. The computer needs to have 6 slots of DDR3 and extra slots for a 2nd or 3rd Graphic card. Also needs to be in a Corsair 800D case and a Corsair h70 cooling system. Neon lights in the case would be cool or a type of theme for the case. Ex yellow lights for the Simpson or something. =] Best Answer will be given ASAP. thank you.
Note: All items will be brought from Amazon.com so I don't have to pay taxes or shipping since I have a membership their. No screen is needed I have a LED 24in tv ready to be opened. Max the $2000.00 out if possible or list a few built thank.
corsair only makes certain components, so I have chosen reliable components for the parts corsair won't supply.
Asus Maximus IV Extreme P67 B3
- not corsair but its the baddest p67 mobo atm
Intel Sandy Bridge 2600k
- not "enthusiast" class of the current generation, but it outperforms i7 extremes in gaming for 800$ less... and we're hearing the LGA 2011 CPU's will be around 600$ for the cheapest, so this looks like the sub $2000 PC platform for the next while, unless AMD bulldozer comes out swinging.
Indigo Xtreme thermal interface
- if you have the money leftover from the other parts, CPU cooling upgrade better and easier than paste
8gb Corsair Dominator GT 2133 C9 1.5v (low voltage corsair performance memory)
runs 2133mhz cas 9 at 1.5v, nobody else does this. matches the black and red Maximus IV
Corsair H70 water cooler
you don't really need water cooling for a good sandy bridge clock, but hey, we're Corsair fanboys here.
Corsair Pro Series AX1200 PSU
pretty much the best high wattage PSU you can buy right here.
Corsair Performance 3 Series 128GB SATA III SSD
not the most popular SSD, but its corsair and meets your spec.
Seagate Barracuda XT 2TB HDD
not corsair, but they are a nautical-themed company and I've always felt good about putting them into my corsair-fanboy builds.
Asus Blu-Ray Combo Drive
not Corsair, but it matches the motherboard and its Asus quality.
Corsair 800D case
your case...nice.
...and then spend every last cent you can on video solutions.
use tom's hardware best GPU of the month listing to find what you should get, search "best video card MONTH 2011" and look for the toms hardware list in the results. if you find you're coming up short on video power with this build, and don't want a GPU bottleneck, switch out the sandy bridge 2600k for a 2500k, and you'll have another 100$ for a better GPU, at the sacrifice of the faster hyper-threaded 2600k which does better for video editing and junk. also if you're going to use XP, get 4gb of RAM instead of 8gb, and again pour that extra money into a better video card. you can probably do this with a win7 build also if you're hungry for that better GPU right now.
