new NHL all-star game format?
here's my idea:
24 of the best players in the league are invited to the game by means of a "selection night" show, presented on TV in a similar manner as the draft... the commissioner will call out names to eventually form 4 teams of 4 players for a 3 on 3 game plus goalies... for example, based on votes and computer analysis, the commissioner announces the following teams, which changes every season:
ORANGE & PURPLE TEAM:
Ovechkin, Statsny, Greene, Lundqvist
BLACK & GOLD TEAM:
Crosby, Kopitar, Jovanovski, Luongo
RED & WHITE TEAM:
Nash, Bergeron, Boyle, Anderson
PURPLE & BLACK TEAM:
Marleau, Plekanec, Foote, Bryzgalov
TEAL & BLUE TEAM:
Callahan, H. Sedin, Seabrook, Miller
and so on and so on... a playoff is set up and each team will play 3 on 3 plus goalies in a single round elimination week...
so far all of your answers are lame...
Play games each week? There is this thing called the regular season that may get in the way you know, I doubt teams would allow for such things to happen, with injury, fatigue, and scheduling all playing important roles in disallowing your weekly all star tournament.
