how to add a tv to existing uverse box?
i currently have uverse from at&t...i would like to add a tv to an existing box i have that will play the same station in the same room...the installer told me just to put a "t" in the coax cable, but it doesn't work...do i need to run the yellow, red, white cables too?..as u can see,i'm very tech challenged..thanks
A "T" in the coax cable? Not hardly with U-verse. You need a U-verse receiver to get channels on that system. It's not like Comcast or Time Warner cable where you can get basic channels without a box.
Your only method of connecting a 2nd TV without its own U-verse receiver is to use one of the other outputs on the U-verse receiver that you already have in the room. One TV could be connected with an HDMI cable and another with component or composite cables. Or, if it's an old analog TV, just connect a coaxial antenna cable from the antenna out jack on the receiver to the antenna jack on the TV. Put the TV on channel 3 permanently

Followup per the other answer. Except for the analog connection I mentioned above, there is no "RF" with U-verse. U-verse is an IP system that doesn't use conventional cable or over-the-air frequencies. There's nothing you can split and feed a second TV without a U-verse receiver.
